General car servicing
A standard service covers the basics that wear out quietly: engine oil and oil filter, air and cabin filters, fluid levels, belts and hoses, battery and charging system, brakes, tyres and a road test. We tell you what we found and what can wait.
Most cars need a service every 10,000 to 15,000 km or every 12 months, whichever comes first. If you tow, do a lot of short trips or spend time on dirt, it is usually worth going in more often.
Logbook servicing
We service to the manufacturer's schedule for your make, model and kilometres, and stamp the logbook when we're done. That keeps your service history intact for resale.
Having your new car serviced here does not void the manufacturer's warranty. Under Australian Consumer Law you choose who services your car, as long as the work follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses parts of the right standard, which is exactly what we do.
Mechanical repairs
Clutches, exhausts, cooling systems, belts, hoses, water pumps, drivetrain and the rest of the general mechanical work that comes up as a car gets older.
If you're not sure what the noise or the leak is, bring it in. We'll diagnose it first and quote the repair before anything gets pulled apart.
Brake repairs and replacements
Brake pads, discs and rotors, drums, brake fluid, hoses and handbrake adjustment. We measure what's left on the pads and rotors and show you, so you can decide whether to do it now or at the next service.
Worth booking in if you hear squealing or grinding, feel a vibration through the pedal, notice the pedal going soft, or the car pulls to one side when you brake.
Suspension and steering repairs
Shocks and struts, coil springs, bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arms, power steering and wheel alignment. Worn suspension shows up as a floaty or crashy ride, uneven tyre wear, or a steering wheel that sits off-centre.

Engine diagnostics and repairs
A check engine light on the dash is the car telling you something, but the light on its own doesn't say what. We plug in a scan tool, read the fault codes and then test the actual component rather than guessing from the code.
Rough idle, misfiring, hard starting, loss of power, more fuel than usual or a warning light that keeps coming back are all worth a look.
Battery replacement
We test the battery and the charging system before we sell you anything, because a flat battery is sometimes a failing alternator. If the battery is done, we supply and fit a new one to suit your vehicle, including start-stop and 4x4 dual battery setups.
Batteries in Australian conditions typically last three to five years. Slow cranking on a cold morning is usually the first warning.
Air conditioning service and repairs
Regas, leak testing, cabin filter replacement, and repairs to compressors, condensers and hoses. If the air is blowing but no longer cold, the system has usually lost refrigerant somewhere, so we find the leak rather than just topping it up.
A quick note on timing: get the air conditioning looked at in spring, not on the first 40-degree day.
Tyre-related services
Fitting and balancing, rotations, puncture repairs, wheel alignments and tyre pressure monitoring. This is what we do most of, and we can do it while the car is in for a service.
